Federal Elections in Mexico 2006: Felipe Calderón won more districts than AMLO

An analysis of the results of last week's district counts shows that PAN presidential candidate Felipe Calderón, who polled a majority of 0.6% in the election held last July 2, won in just over half of Mexico's 300 electoral districts.
Calderón prevailed in 151 districts, while 140 were carried by his major challenger, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (PRD-PT-C). PRI-PVEM presidential nominee Roberto Madrazo was the winning candidate in the remaining nine districts.
