Mexico City's El Universal reports today that following a partial recount of votes cast in last July 2 presidential election, the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF) invalidated 81,080 votes for PAN candidate Felipe Calderón, and 76,897 for Andrés Manuel López Obrador of the Coalición por el Bien de Todos. The annulments reduce Calderón's lead by 4,183 votes, but do not change the outcome of the election.

According to official election figures, Calderón had a majority of 243,934 votes over López Obrador.
