A crisis is born in Italy

As you probably know by now, Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi presented his resignation this Wednesday, after his center-left coalition government lost another foreign policy vote in the Senate. I'm covering the political crisis resulting from Prodi's sudden resignation on Global Economy Matters, under A crisis is born in Italy (updated as of February 28, 2007), which has been cross-posted on A Fistful of Euros (AFOE).

Incidentally, at the time of this posting, both my cross-posted AFOE piece and Edward Hugh's companion article on Italy's economy, Italy's Economic Problems Under The Spotlight (also cross-posted on AFOE) are showing up at the top of Google News on searches for Italy and Italy economy, respectively.
