Elections to the Lithuanian Seimas (Parliament), Part I

Voters in Lithuania went to the polls on October 14 and 28, 2012, to choose members of the Baltic republic's unicameral parliament, the Seimas. Lithuania's 2008 parliamentary election, published on Global Economy Matters at the time of the previous general election, has an overview of Lithuania's electoral and political party systems.

With 100% of the vote tallied, the results of Lithuania's 2012 parliamentary election stood as follows on October 31, 2012:

The voter turnout rate was 52.9% for the first round, and 35.9% for the second round. No runoff election was held in the constituency of Zarasai-Visaginas (No. 52), where the outcome of the first round was declared invalid.
